Sometimes Wrong But Never in Doubt

Ladies, how many times have you been asked by well-meaning friends, "How do you manage to do it all?" How many times has a perfect stranger asked how hard it is to do your hair in the morning? And how many times, if those questions have come your way, have you started to choke up and fight back tears?

Probably less than Hillary Clinton, who is decomposing before our eyes.
I am smart enough and experienced enough in national politics to not write anyone or anything off. Witness: Reagan and W.

But she is a goner if she doesn't beat John Edwards in the New Hampshire primary, where Barack Obama is a sure-thing on Tuesday. Actually Edwards probably has been asked how he does his hair.

My predictions for the New Hampshire primary -- and don't forget to check the past several days of Web reportage by Your Faithful Blogger's progeny:

Democrats

Obama
Clinton
Edwards
Richardson

Republicans

McCain
Romney
Huckabee
Paul
Giuliani
Thompson

Well you can't win 'em all Ira!! My very uninformed British perspective on this suggests that while this was indeed a stunning reversal of fortune for Hillary Clinton, I sense that the force is still with Obama and that a combination of the independents factor and the inbuilt 'Clinton factor' in New Hampshire saved her to fight another day. I do feel that the result has only postponed the inevitable though and that the smart money is moving to Obama
