Shame on Peggy Fox of WUSA-TV, Channel 9, in Washington, and shame on the CBS Morning News, and shame on all the other CBS affiliates that thought a YouTube video of 7 year old girls gyrating to a Beyonce song was news. Maybe it was. Maybe it is either a perverted reminder of Jon Benet Ramsey or maybe girls should be encouraged to exhibit their talents.But clearly it was a news story because of the outrage the network and its affiliates wanted to engender. And how did they engender such outrage? By showing the pedophilic video at length, repeatedly.
The only comparison I can think of is the History Channel’s fascination with Hitler.
