Really, I am not a homophobe, and I like to think the news media treat people fairly. But I could not resist sharing this AP photo of Derek Jerek, the famous, well-loved anti-ARod who is always subject to rumors about his sexual orientation.I would point out to the non-baseball-afflicted that when a runner is attempting to score (a run! get your mind out of the gutter) on a close play, he slides or lowers his should to knock over the catcher. Usually, the runner does not arrive like this. Unless he is Derek Jeter.
