Pageantry

They (announcer Keith Jackson, that is) used to wax eloquently about the color and pageantry of college football.

At the University of Maryland, the color and the pageantry is lately the only thing worth watching, since the football team generally sucks. Today, however, it did benefit from some luck, increasing its scoring average almost up to that of David Letterman.

My seats are in the end zone, which means, depending on the flow of the game, all of the action might be taking place 100+ yards away.

There is other action to observe, however:
