Coincidence or Conspiracy?

The Sunday editions of both the Washington Post and the New York Times devoted much space to profiles – known in the trade as “puff pieces” -- of Hillary Clinton. Yes, they will do the same for other candidates, and both papers portrayed the “softer” more “human” side of the candidate who a lot of American perceive as an ice queen at the head of an army of humorless, well-disciplined, machine-bred perfectionist automatons.

What is fascinating to me is this: Based on the Clinton machine’s previous behavior in controlling feature stories, magazine articles and books about her, the fact that two of the more influential news organs – needing cooperation from her friends – wrote essentially the same story on the same day calls into question the articles’ very credibility.

This could be a coincidence or it could be part of a "vast leftwing conspiracy." But usually when any attempt at conspiracy by the news media winds up being only half-vast.
